While there are many wonderful lakes and rivers in the great State of Alabama, this year the 45th annual Birmingham Boat Show is proud to salute one of them – Smith Lake. This water destination get-a-way will be featured in presentations by their Chamber of Commerce members during the Birmingham Boat Show.

On Saturday at 12:30pm, Smith Lake will be represented on the Seminar Stage Pro Wakeboarder JD Webb, and Leah Bolin, the Executive Director of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce – www.VisitCullman.org

This presentation will include Smith Lake businesses presenting both information and great give-a-ways for the Lake area.

That trait of personal commitment, hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice needed to achieve your goals came from his Dad, a top notch surfer and skater as well.

But after spending some time with JD you come to understand it’s not about the competition, world traveling, and the podiums. He has truly grown up with wakeboarding - he has influenced new board designs, grown through the emergence of cable parks, and launched off the Big Air events, and now is pushing the limits of Nautique’s latest boat designs and innovations. JD is passionate about giving back to the sport, spreading the word, and growing the sport as an ambassador for “all things wake”.
